Calabash Mint – how we can be the best

Every year we have team meetings working on how we can improve our levels of service. This includes keeping up to date with the new and improved equipment we are using, plus the key ways we can improve levels of service and customer satisfaction, maintaining the highest levels of health & Safety.

CalabashMint strive to be the leaders in this field, with our close-knit team, ensuring the best levels of service and practices in the industry.

This year we had a very special reason behind the meeting as we were honouring David Richardson, who we tragically lost after a short illness a year ago.

David spent his years as Managing Director going the extra mile in all facets of the business. Most importantly, he was loved and respected by all those who worked with or under his leadership. His legacy is clear to those at CalabashMint; there was nothing he would ask someone to do that he wasn’t happy to do himself and he only expected the high levels of others because he demanded them of himself.

During the day, several emotional tributes were paid to David and two special awards went to members of staff; Julio Cesar Suarez and Ramona Halus for their hard work and in particular for going ‘the extra mile’ as David had always done.

Julian Hill, the owner of CalabashMint, concluded by saying how proud he was of everyone over the last year in continuing to help the company strive so well during this very difficult time under the guidance and leadership of Mabel Urrego.
