The Lister Hospital achieves five star rating

One of the best-equipped multi-disciplinary private hospitals in London serviced by Calabash is the first to adopt the e-Qit TM tool, putting their premises through vigorous cleanliness and hygiene checks.

The e-Qit TM System provides a complete visual representation of the hospital environment using floor plans, which gives a platform for inspections in the categories of health & safety, environmental cleanliness, and infection control.

It is different from existing quality and cleanliness systems in hospitals because it produces a more detailed check of every area of the hospital and requires actual evidence of cleaning and hygiene.

More than 1,000 different cleaning and hygiene checks are made on every ward. To achieve a five star rating a hospital must score more than 90% on every check.

The Lister Hospital has an international reputation for providing quality private healthcare to patients across a wide range of specialities including: gynaecology, orthopaedic surgery, general and vascular surgery, dermatology, gastroenterology, urology and plastic surgery, supported by the latest state-of-the-art diagnostic facilities. At a time when the health service is under increasing pressure to improve outcomes while reducing costs, it would be easy for standards to slip. The e-QIT TM recognition of our client’s premises is the evidence that, despite the challenges, healthcare organizations and industry can demonstrate their commitment to improving their facilities.
